Elections Process

1.  Nominations

2.  Letters of Intent & Letters of Recommendation

3.  Presentations

4.  Voting/Auditions (for drum major positions)

An officer is chosen by obtaining a majority of student votes in a classroom election. After nominations, candidates obtain an officer packet (two letters of recommendation, a formal letter of intent for candidacy).  Candidates present a three to five minute statement to their respective ensemble.  Drum Majors apply in this same manner, but also audition on their instrument and are interviewed by the director and other band students.
